In this lesson, students will create an artwork using the medium of their choosing that expresses the following idea; As a society which strives on collaboration and communication, we must look at the root of what makes people behave and believe a certain way and reappraise whether that power deserves that pedestal it stands on. As students create their body of work, they will research a contemporary artist and specific artworks which have activistic attributes and perform a 5-minute presentation of the artist thus, the whole class can practice their visual thinking strategies (VTS).
